The algorithm can’t replicate YOU

Let’s be real — these are wild times to be building anything.

Algorithms flip every few weeks. What worked in marketing six months ago? Already outdated. AI is rewriting everything we thought we knew about marketing and communication. But here’s the truth, no one’s saying loud enough:

AI can’t replicate YOU.

Not your story. Not your scars. Not your weird, wonderful wiring. And that’s what this year’s Thing Orlando is all about —YOU: The Power of Being Human.

Because the secret to discovering your niche isn’t strategy, software, or some funnel hack. It’s you, the human. As I heard Gary Vaynerchuk say recently, “Your niche is you.”

The way you think. The way you lead. The way you love, connect, and create. That’s what the world needs more of.

And that’s exactly what’s happening November 14–16 in Orlando at THE THING.

Leaders, creators, and entrepreneurs who are done pretending — ready to show up fully human, build real businesses, and create lasting impact. This isn’t another conference. It’s a room where:

  • You’ll gain clarity about what’s next.
  • You’ll build community with people who actually get it.
  • You’ll find momentum to scale what’s working.

And for the first time ever, we’re adding something special —

The Spotlight Sessions. Four leaders. One stage.

Have you always wanted to use speaking to expand your impact?

Each gets 12–15 minutes to share their message — filmed, photographed, and followed by live coaching from me and Darryll Stinson, one of the best storytelling architects and TEDx speakers and organizers in the game. There are just FOUR spots. This isn't about us criticizing you; it's your chance to collaborate with us, and the room

It’s not just a chance to speak — it’s a chance to be seen, sharpened, and shaped. Those four spots will go fast, and honestly? So will everything else.

Even if you're not ready for the stage, you are ready to get in the room with the people that can help do YOUR Thing.

We’re less than three weeks out. Hotel blocks are filling. Flights are jumping. And the room is stacked with some of the most mission-driven humans I’ve ever met.

So here’s my ask: Stop waiting for “the perfect time.” Stop waiting for the algorithm to settle. Stop waiting for permission.

The world doesn’t need a copy of someone else. It needs your Thing.

🎟 Grab your ticket today — and join us in Orlando. This is your room. This is your moment. Let’s make it real.

I have a small number of partial scholarships availible to folks who have never been able to make it to The Thing but are tired of waiting and hitting some roadblocks.

See you in the room in Orlando,
-Terry

I’m Terry Weaver — business coach and idea strategist who specializes in helping remarkable leaders navigate the galaxy of entrepreneurship. My biggest goal is to help YOU discover what you really want and help discover the map to head in the direction and arrive at the destination. You desire. It’s the age old Spice Girls question I ask all my clients:“ Tell me what you want, what you really really want.” Almost immediately after high school I became a full time speaker speaking to students in middle school, high school, and colleges. During that time I accidentally found myself in the music business helping artists navigate moving their dreams from their garage to selling out shows and topping the charts. Standing on stage in a packed arena things began to shift for me.

He's waiting on the world to change

I think you know that Leslie (my wife) and I live just outside Nashville. Last night, John Mayer played a music festival in our little town. I didn’t go (I’m more of an indoor concert with a chair and air conditioning kind of guy—which, by the way, we will have for you in Orlando… IYKYK). But it reminded me of one of his big songs: “Waiting on the World to Change.” The chorus says: Waiting on the world to change It’s hard to beat the system When we’re standing at a distance So we keep waiting...

We’re one week out from The Thing Nashville—and I want to speak to the tension a lot of us are feeling right now. The world feels uncertain. Heavy. Distracting. There’s fear in the headlines, noise in our feeds, and pressure to stay quiet, play it safe, or just survive. But you weren’t made to shrink back. You weren’t wired to sit this one out.You were called to create. To lead. To build something that actually matters. And if that’s stirring something in you, I want you in the room with us....

I’m a little emotional today. On June 2, 2017, the first Thing began. I closed the day, and we had Lee Cockerell as a surprise guest—he was the VP of Operations for Walt Disney World. My friend and brand powerhouse Leigh Holt spoke as well. Since then, we’ve had Disney Legends, industry leaders, best-selling authors, circus performers, and world-renowned creators all take The Thing stage. All with one mission: to help remarkable leaders do their thing. It’s wild to think that this year marks...
