You can't do alone, either

Three months ago, I was in the ICU, not sure what was ahead. I had just had an ambulance ride, which I still have no memory of.

What I did know was that the event had started 9 years before, and was going on without me. I was supposed to be on stage, and instead I was fighting for my life. I was 100% dependent on my community to pull off the event I dreamed of, and the medical team to take care of me! I was living what I’ve been preaching for years. If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together. Without my community and the speaker who had come to Orlando then event would not have happened.

The Thing’s mission has always been two-fold:

  • Equip leaders with the knowledge to thrive in their work
  • Connect them so that when times get tough, there are others there to carry them.

Louder than any words that would have come out of my mouth…was the clear message we need each other. It’s never been about me; it’s about a place for you to have the knowledge and the relationships to thrive in your business.

As my healing continues, my energy is slower to return than I desired. What has been clear is that doing life alone is a death sentence for your dreams. You can have all of the tools and the best marketing plan, but if you don’t have the right people surrounding you, you are setting yourself up to fail.

So this is it, my gift to this community was creating a way for your Thing ticket to allow someone else to attend for free. I was supposed to send this email at the end of last week, and this opportunity was supposed to end tonight. But for a few more days, you can take advantage of this opportunity. A chance for you to attend both Thing events for the price of one.

The 10 x 3 Pass for 2026

Here’s what you get
✔️ The Thing Nashville – June 7-9, 2026
✔️ The Thing Orlando – November 13-15, 2026
✔️ Plus one extra Main Thing ticket to bring a friend… or donate to someone who's never been.

All of that for the cost of a ticket for one event.

If you’ve been thinking about coming back, or coming for the first time, this is the moment. Plus, you get to help someone else!

Every year, someone shows up because someone else believed in them. And they leave changed. It happens every single time. Taking action is contagious. This is the place you want to be if you want to be around leaders who believe that the impossible is possible. Your action in securing your spot immediately helps someone else secure theirs.

All the details are here

If you can’t make both events, I did create something just for NASHVILLE and ORLANDO. It includes a discount AND the chance to give a ticket away or bring someone with you. This is the biggest discount there will be if you are just coming to one event. So please take advantage of it!

This will be the most affordable way to attend the thing, you get to send someone else, AND you can even split it into 2 payments!!!

So, to be clear if you are reading this right now, you need to take action NOW. This is your chance. I am keeping the cart open just for you so you don't miss out. You must act now!

Grateful for you. See You at The Thing!

I’m Terry Weaver — business coach and idea strategist who specializes in helping remarkable leaders navigate the galaxy of entrepreneurship. My biggest goal is to help YOU discover what you really want and help discover the map to head in the direction and arrive at the destination. You desire. It’s the age old Spice Girls question I ask all my clients:“ Tell me what you want, what you really really want.” Almost immediately after high school I became a full time speaker speaking to students in middle school, high school, and colleges. During that time I accidentally found myself in the music business helping artists navigate moving their dreams from their garage to selling out shows and topping the charts. Standing on stage in a packed arena things began to shift for me.

Leslie and I talking with the Big Cheese. It’s hard to believe it’s already February. It’s been just over two months since I was released from the hospital, and we’ve learned a lot since then. One of the biggest lessons is that healing from sepsis doesn’t follow a simple or fast timeline. Post-Sepsis Syndrome is real, and getting my body back to “normal” has taken far longer than we ever imagined. We spent most of January in Florida doing exactly what doctors recommended. Rest. Heal. Breathe....

Greetings from the frozen tundra that is Nashville. I’m back from sabbatical in Florida and we are currently on day 5 of being iced in. Based on the weather, we should have stayed a few days longer. I'm still healing and trying to get my strength and energy back. Some days I feel like I can run through a wall, and some days I feel like the wall ran through me. While we were gone, we spent time relaxing and dreaming about the next year. A few friends from the Thing community even joined us for...

Hey friends, I want to share the full story of what happened at The Thing this year. Many of you have heard bits and pieces, but I want you to hear it directly from me. What Happened at The Thing Tuesday night started like every other amazing kickoff. We hosted our VVIP Welcome Dinner in our suite, and it was special. One of the attendees said something that hit me hard: “I knew I’d get a ton of help. What I wasn’t prepared for was how much everyone cared for each other… and how much you...
